Four Big Bales

What a beautiful summer day. The combines are rolling, the swathers are swathing, and bailers are trying to keep up. My husband and I have a very small acreage where we live, nine acres to be exact, but it always amazes me how many big round bales we get off that area. In front of our house is one acre---in a normal year, after fertilizing, we’ve been able to get 6 or so bales off of that. This year, we didn’t get to fertilize due to some weather complications—but still got 4 big bales…got to love that!

Being from a farm background, I totally understand that when harvest is on---there is not enough time in the day to get everything accomplished you had hoped for. So if you are swathing and bailing, I’d like to point out to you a line of products we carry that could very well save you some time in the fact that you don’t have to pull the tractor and bailer over to the next field without totally being sure that the hay is ready to go. We have several moisture testing units that allow you precision tests to make sure the hay is not too wet.

We can also save you a trip to town with the grain moisture testers we carry. Cut a sample and check the moisture content right there in the field. Nobody wants to be docked at the scales!
