Currently I brush and brush and brush to remove their winter coats! I'd love to hand one on either the barn wall or a post and see how they enjoy it.

jamie hotzler

I would wrap it on the center post of the barn (which is a support pole) coz my kids have rubbed it smooth.

Jan Vance

I have 4 horses and a donkey. My donkey doesn't shed out till late August. Even though I use a curry on him he's always rubbing on Sahuaro's etc. to help get the hair off himself. I would hang the equine scratcher on the fense in their turnout to help.

Dixie J. Garman

A fly sheet that works. Keep the bugs away and is safe. Not going to easily catch on something and cause a wreck. Light weight and like I said , it works.

JANICE PUTNEY

I put it on a post in their turn out

Emma Gibson

I help my horse shed her winter coat with a shedding blade. It's a lot of work!

Leona Knaggs

My horse finds the tree with the most pitch and then I have to work to get pitch off him. I would place it on the big polls that are in the shed of the barn where they like to stand when it's hot. Thank you Leona

Kathy Maxwell

I would put it on a pot in the stall. I have been thinking of ordering one of these to try it so winning it would be awesome.

Marcia Siers

I currently brush, brush, brush, brush, brush and brush more! I would hang the Equine Scratcher on the corner of the barn where they are already scratching!

Ann O'Bannon

Curry combing over and over is how I currently help my horses shed their winter coats. An Equine Scratcher would go nicely on a large, strong post where my giant equines could not only rub their hind ends but get their chest/neck areas wrapped around for good scratching.

LuAnne L Miller

OUR HORSES WOULD GET THEIR FIRST EQUINE SCRATCHER UNDER THEIR LEAN2 WHERE THEY DRINK WATER, GET SHADE, GET OUT OF THE WEATHER, AND GET THEIR GRAIN/HAY EVERY DAY.

Woo-hoo, sounds exciting!

Leesa Ripling

I currently use a shedding blade on my horses every day. If I won an Equine Scratcher, I would mount it to a thick wood post cemented in my pasture so all the horses could share and it could withstand the wear and tear.

twoheartswalking@yahoo.com

I would put it on the post for my horse that is allergic to biting flies. Maybe then she wouldn't rub on the pipe fencing so bad.

Janice Sen

I would put around a post in front of my barn, then the post wouldn't get ground in dirt from the horses rubbing on it.:)

DAVID SILVA

IF I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO WIN AN EQUINE SCRATCHER, I WOULD HANG IT ON THE UTILITY POLE I HAVE OUT IN THE PASTURE. I KNOW THEY WOULD APPRECIATE IT ALOT. I DO USE A CURRY COMB TO TRY TO GET ALL THE WINTER COAT OFF, BUT ITS VERY HARD FOR ME. I HAVE USE OF ONLY MY RIGHT ARM, SO MY RIGHT ARM GETS VERY TIRED FAST. I KNOW THEY WOULD LIKE ALOT MORE BRUSHING. WITH THE EQUINE SCRATHER, THEY CAN SCRATCH TO THERE CONTENT.

Katy Taylor

I will hang it (if I win!) on a post in her corral. Poor thing usually starts rubbing her mane this time of year and gets itchy patches. I start with a weekly oatmeal bath, cortisone cream and any other soothing solution I can get my hands on.

Cathy S.

This would be good on one of the big poles in the open side of our run in shed or on a dead tree in the paddock.

Liz Young

How do you currently help your horse shed its winter coat? I get my clippers out and spend the next three hours transferring her coat all over the ranch and myself! She would love this scratcher and I would love that she wouldn't need white chalk to cover her scratch marks....total love grey mares :)

Jody Gardner

I would place the scratcher on our fence post where all the horses stand during the day. So they could each take turns scratching on it. My paint mare would probably hog it though because shes always itchy.

Tami Harris

My friend and I were just commenting on the need for one of these for my always-shedding, always-itchy Mini horse, Kneehigh. I would hang this around the always-open doorway between his stall and run... and he would really enjoy it!! And everything is about keeping the very special Kneehigh happy! http://facebook.com/kneehighandme
