We all know the saying---Wrangler Butt’s drive me---go ahead, I’ll wait...you finish it---NUTS! Back a few years ago, (ok, more like twenty,) I had a shirt that had that saying on it, and I didn’t think twice about wearing it out in public. I found it in a stack of rags awhile ago and pulled it out, only to have my 12 year old son roll his eyes and look at me saying “REALLY, Mother. I don’t think so.” So of course the first thing I wanted to do is pull it out and wear it when his friends came over, but I didn’t. Trust me, if the shirt was in better shape, I would have! LOL !!!
But this whole incident got me thinking. What is it about a pair of jeans that gives you the look, feel and comfort you want? I’m sure for every ten people surveyed; there would probably be at least nine different answers. As the one who chooses our jeans selection, I know what all the fancy terms are and what they mean from the guys manufacturing the jeans.
But when I write the copy to present to you, or better yet, when I myself go to buy a pair of jeans, do I really care what the ounce of denim is, or the name of the stitching or thread color used is, or that the zipper is a YYK, etc, etc. Maybe I’m unique in that thinking as I’m sure there are some folks that do need to know this info for various reasons, but my main goals are this; the jeans fits me, as in the junk in the trunk is completely covered, there are no holes in a brand new pair I’m paying for (if I wanted ones with holes, I’d wear my everyday pair for good) and lastly, when I slip a pair on they feel like something I could do anything in. Because, let’s face it, us ladies out here have to be prepared to do anything, no matter the task, in a minute’s notice.
I have worn many of the jeans we carry, and over the years my preferences have changed. I’ve worn and still do wear the
Utility Relaxed Fit Womens Jeans, the
Kelsey Low Rise Relaxed Jeans or
Low Rise Slim Kelsey and the
Georgia Stretch Low Rise Kick Slim Fit from Cruel Girl. I also still wear the
Q-Baby Ultimate Riding Jeans and
Cash Ultimate Riding Jeans from Wrangler. But my new favorites are the Ariat brand that has just been released. Whether it is the
Ruby Calientes (lower rise) or the
Turquoise Calientes (higher rise,) time and time again when I put these on I get a feeling of WOW----I feel comfortable, they fit great, they cover what they should be covering----in other words, these are my—“dang, I think I still got it” jeans. Dress them up, dress them down, doesn’t matter----they are awesome!
But guys, don’t fret. We have jeans for you too!! Guys obviously have different curves and needs, ones I couldn’t test---lol--that’s why I go to my test lab, aka husband Jay, along with a few other guys here at work. Jay is of an athletic build and has pretty muscular calves. It’s sometimes hard to find jeans that work for his waist but also are large enough at the calf. When I fell in love with my Ariat jeans, I brought home a pair of men’s Ariats for him to try. He’s been a Wrangler man for as long as I’ve known him, and he still does wear them, but he too has fallen for these new Ariats. The
M2 Boot Cut Lower Rise is his preference, to the point, when we are going out somewhere I always have to make sure those are the jeans I have washed and ready to go.
To share my infatuation of these new jeans from Ariat, I’m going to give away two pair of jeans. I’ll be selecting two winners, to win one pair of jeans each. The winners will have their choice of any one pair of ladies Ariats #19175 or #19176 or any one pair of mens Ariats #19177, #19178 or #19179. See the official rules below. Good Luck!
